Intro to Tai Chi, Sunday, April 15, 1-4p.

Tai Chi is an easy standing sequence, based on soft styles of ancient Chinese martial art forms, that is not competitive. A series of physical postures are performed in a slow and graceful manner that flows with the breath. It is a perfect exercise for those with limited flexibility, often prescribed for its health benefits and stress reduction.

Warner Blake will lead this introduction to the beginning 24 forms of Tai Chi Chuan (Yang style), intended to ready you for participation in FREE Tai Chi at Kla Ha Ya Park every Saturday at 8a.

Video: Restorative Yoga with Dorothy

After creating a safe place for our practice, the first exercise of the workshop was to write “REST” in large letters on one half of the page, and on the other half, make a list of things that are keeping you from resting. A meditation was followed by an introduction to “Supported Child’s Pose” — a key pose in restorative yoga; and, one we hope you can do at home following Dorothy’s directions in this video.
