Classes Are Moving On Monday, November 14th

Yes! The wall is coming down Monday, 11/14 — much sooner than we planned. Construction schedules depend on so many people who do the work, and in this case we have to move forward to take advantage of the sheetrock crew’s open week of availability.

This means that all classes are moving to Karen’s studio (pictured above) at 230 Avenue B, the pink church at Third and B effective Monday — beginning with Yoga Stretch at 6:45!

Enter through the garden as pictured on the map. Please do not knock on the church front doors — they access the choir loft apartment, which is rented. Doors to the studio are on the south side of the church, right at the end of the garden walkway. It’s a very easy walk through the garden, and pleasant too.

So on Sunday, 11/13, following Suzanne’s Yoga Dance class we will be bring out the champaigne, sushi and marking pens! Come, celebrate this big step in the expansion construction with eats, drinks and making your mark on the wall! We might even encourage a smashing good time, and will bring some hammers.

Better yet, come to Suzanne’s class for the last (yoga) dance in the old space!

Expansion Project Begins

Work has begun on the expansion of the Circle. The plan is to double the size of the current studio by the first of the year. As Builder Hank begins framing in the new walls, Karen was on her hands and knees patching a serious crack in the concrete floor.

Later this month the south wall of the existing studio (the one pictured above) will be removed to create one large, glorious space. Classes will continue at Karen’s art studio, located in the historic residential district at the corner of Third and Avenue B — it’s the pink church!

“We will need a little prayer (along with the small business loan from Columbia bank) to pull this off,” said Karen, holding tight a tub of concrete patching mix.
