Who Does Yoga?

“The experience with this interview was fun too. The studio was empty. The director tested for where to set up, what the background would look like, got the shot framed, the sound checked and then “action!” He asked me a series of questions (none known to me previously) and I answered with animation and articulateness. I was in the flow! I could tell I was hitting it out of the park! When we finished I was sort of euphoric. Then he said, “I’d like to do it again while other students are coming in.”

“WHAT? I nailed my first take!”

I want to increase my body awareness and appreciate my body, which is my earthsuit, after all. I used to be quite flexible and did yoga many years ago; since starting back recently, I’m already feeling the confidence of being healthy even tho’ I’m a work in progress 🙂

Subsequent to two strokes, I needed a way to rehabilitate both my mind and body.

Karen’s experience, insight and guidance has helped me restore a great deal of what I once was and helped give me confidence that I can overcome this challenge.

In just two classes I knew that yoga is what I need for mind and body. At the age of 43 I was diagnosed with early stage Parkinson’s. The best I can do for myself is to keep a positive attitude and keep depression and stress at bay. I felt so good physically and emotionally, really amazed at results after one than two sessions. I quit going, why? I let life consume me again, turning 47 has been a wake up call to get back at it.

I vow that within one week I will be back.

Karen has such a beautiful studio, very comfortable feeling from the moment I walked in.

I’ve been coming to the Yoga Circle Studio for about 2 years now. I covet the time. I attend the 6:45am sessions M-W-F. It’s not just the stretching and sense of calm I get, it’s the people. I enjoy the yogi’s that are there with me. We laugh, we stretch, we breath, we moan, hahhh, and breath some more…Yeah, I don’t know why it took me so long to discover Yoga, and I don’t know how I survived without it. I highly recommend it for anyone, any age…..Yoga Rocks!

I recently received an e-mail acknowledging my 1 year anniversary at the yoga studio. I just wanted to express my gratitude for your welcoming me into to yoga practice. The studio, and all the instructors are really great!. I love going to class, and truly believe that doing yoga has changed my life :). Thank you for being there to open that door for me, to something I cannot imagine ever leaving

Being off work with limited mobility left few activity choices. My physician had long ago recommended yoga, but I was hesitant to participate in a “group” activity, being the private soul that I am. It was a huge step for me and luckily my first experience was at Yoga Circle Studio. I felt a warm cozy vibe immediately upon entry. The decor and soft instrumental music was icing on the cake. I did not feel like I was in a group setting with yoga having such a powerful mind-calming affect. The owner/instructor Karen has a certain aura and quiet demeanor, seemingly knowing exactly when her students (I always feel more like a personal guest) need advice or tending to. I appreciate being able to drop in when my time allows, with many classes available without a reservation. Happily, I was able to return to work and my herniated T7 disk (since 2005!) has improved enough to discontinue using the bulky TLSO brace. I don’t understand the mechanisms of yoga healing but I am a believer in it’s role in my improved health. Thank you YCS and Karen.
