A BIG THANKS to all who helped us welcome the returning light by installing our second annual Winter Solstice Walk alongside our river for the enjoyment of the Snohomish community. We lost track of both names and numbers, but at least a dozen people showed up around 4 to help place and light the 400 luminaries that lined the River Trail from Avenue D to Maple Street at Cady Landing. A special thanks goes out to Tom Hamilton and Eric Vannice who have helped us both years with both planning and installation; and this year, Tom managed to take these telling pictures as well.

THE EVENING BEFORE, a good group met at our studio to prepare the luminaries -- the toughest job by far was rolling back the top edge of the paper bags to make them hold up better, especially if it were to rain -- but it didn't this year!

DELL AND HIS DAUGHTER CHRISTINA are two of the many, many helpers who made this year's Solstice Walk happen! THANKS AGAIN TO ALL -- may all your wishes for 2008 be illuminated!
