NEW CLASSES:

Drop-In Class: Yoga/Pilates
9 AM Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Enjoy yoga and Pilates in this combined class. Explore various yoga postures and their related Pilates moves. The emphasis is on building core strength, and body sculpting, but with the benefits of yoga: flexibility, flow, stress reduction, balance, and general health and well being.

Drop-In Class: Warm Flow Yoga
6:45 PM Monday and Wednesday, 5:15 PM Friday,
and 8:30 AM Sunday
This is a continuation of the Vinyasa Flow classes that we have previously offered, but at the request of the participating yogis, we will allow the room to naturally warm up to 80 degrees. This is still a safe working temperature, and does allow for a more vigorous and athletic class as the body warms. These classes require some yoga experience, and are not appropriate for those who are injured.

Drop-In Class: Deepen Your Practice
8:30AM Saturday
This is a replacement for the Intermediate Yoga, and will still be a challenging class. The class will explore poses and deepen your physical skills and awareness as well as expand your knowledge of the of the path of yoga, including the EIGHT-LIMB PATH (see link below).

Public Service
Karen was recently elected to Snohomish City Council to put ethical and spiritual ideals in service to community. Please make contact if you have an issue or ideas for our City, as yoga can affect the whole of our lives and be in service to our City. This quote provides inspiration for putting our practice into the world:
"Politics and spirituality are the two sides of the same coin. Politics is the driving force visible to the outside; spirituality is the internal force driving the consciousness to open up to the world and conjoin it. Politics bared of spiritual awareness always leads to violence and the abuse of power. Spirituality without political engagement resembles an escape from the world."
-- Gundula Schatz

MindBody Online
Many of you have successfully used the new signup system from home, and most of the bugs have been worked out. Transitions from paper to computer have given us all an opportunity to practice patience, grace, and humor – fine yogic virtues of YAMAS and NIYAMAS.
