Balance: Meeting Ourselves in the Midline
With Rainey
Sunday, May 2, 2010 | 1 - 4p | Yoga Circle Studio
Balance is the meeting of effort and surrender, body and mind, stillness and movement. It is not a static place but an ever shifting dialogue between complimentary opposites. If we allow these forces to meet and play without forcing them to be still there is steadiness that naturally arises. This is the power of the midline. The balance poses we encounter on our yoga mat give us an opportunity to explore how to remain steadfast in the midst of movement and how to use action to engender deeper stillness. During this workshop we will explore balance poses of all kinds in order to meet ourselves and investigate the power of the midline of the body.
Elizabeth Rainey is a master teacher in the very powerful, and respected, heart centered, life affirming Anasura tradition. Always inspirational and informative, her classes are a must.
